Pico Guard Optical Fibres

Plastic optical fibre for use with PICO-GUARD optical elements is available in bulk form (to be cut to length in the field) or precut lengths with polished ends for maximum excess gain. Both are available in three styles: standard polyethylene jacketed solid-core plastic fiber for most applications; polyethylene jacketed solid-core plastic fiber with a PVC sheath to withstand mechanical abrasion or harsh duty; and polyethylene jacketed solid-core plastic fiber with fluoropolymer sheathing to withstand harsh chemicals or gases. Accessory sheathing is also available to provide additional protection for any of these fibers. A fiber cutter (for bulk fibre) is shipped with each PICO-GUARD controller.
