These barriers are used to transfer an analogue 4-20mA signal from the safe area to the hazardous area. Care must be exercised in ensuring that the power supplied by these barriers does not exceed the maximum safety values permissible for the field device. These values are shown on the certificate accompanying the field device and the safety values for the barriers. 

These barriers often transfer the analogue output from a PLC or DCS System to the hazardous area. Products listed are part of huge range available.  Typical applications include powering I/P converters, Positioners or Digital Indicators in the hazardous area.
