Product details
This BA484D displays text and simple graphics in a hazardous process area. Incorporating a high contrast backlit display, push buttons and two solid state outputs, this low cost operator interface is ideal for simple process control applications.

The instrument, which has ATEX, FM and IECEx intrinsic safety certification, communicates and is powered via a 2 or 3 wire system from a galvanic isolator in the safe area. To simplify hazardous area installations, the dedicated BA201 galvanic isolator which has RS232 and RS485 safe area ports can power up to four BEKA intrinsically safe Serial Data displays.

The text display supports Modbus, BEKA and legacy protocols and includes eleven standard screen formats which display up to eight variables on each screen, some with bargraphs. If custom display formats are required, these can be constructed using the free BEKA ScreenWriter software.

A powerful Pattern Matching facility is resident in the Serial Data display which enables the capture and display of data contained in proprietary ASCII serial strings.
