Digital Input Barriers

Used to transfer Switch & Sensor Signals
From Hazardous Area to Safe Area

These barriers are used to transfer signals from switches, contacts and proximity sensors in a hazardous area back into a safe area. In the case of proximity sensors or other devices not classified as ‘simple apparatus’, care must be exercised in ensuring that the power supplied by these barriers does not exceed the maximum safety values permissible for the field device. These values are shown on the certificate accompanying the field device and the safety values for the barriers are shown on the barrier certificate which can be accessed by clicking the links below.

These barriers often transfer the digital inputs from I.S. Sensors manufactured to the Namur Standard
and switches back to the PLC or DCS System.
Various matching sensors are available in the Sensors Section of our website.

Note: Universal Supply Voltage
20-250Vac & 20-125Vdc:
- Connect to 24Vdc, 100Vac or 230Vac -Same Terminals!  Saves on spares.
One model for all Switch/Sensor applications!

All devices shown are certified: Ex II (1) GD [EEx ia] IIC

SIL2 according to IEC61508
