Coded tags are attached to mobile or moving equipment and can be written to,
and read by radio frequency (RF) heads even while moving fast or in
high temperatures. A favourite with the motor industry, tags can
have the entire car or engine specification written in a tag which
tells each phase of production what exactly is required e.g. what
paint colour should be used in the automated spray booth.
Fast: Write to tags at high
application speeds, with minimal read-write time of 0.5 ms per Byte
making transport speeds of over 10 m/s are no problem.
High Temperature: standard data carriers operate up to
temperatures up to 120 °C, data carriers are also available up to
210 °C.
Durable: Use of state-of-the-art FRAM storage technology
allows 1010 write operations and an unlimited number of read
operations, tags rarely need replacing
Long Life: At appropriate ambient temperatures all data
remains stored on the data carriers for 10 years
Simple Integration: Standard functions blocks and
interfaces for PROFIBUS-DP, DeviceNet™, Ethernet Modbus-TCP,
PROFINET IO, EtherNet/IP
Easy Communications: Programmable gateways fast signal
processing for PROFIBUS-DP, Ethernet Modbus TCP, Ethernet/IP |
