DeviceNet™ M12 Cordsets
Connectors on Both Ends
|
As seen on our DeviceNet Bulk Cable
page, there are over 20 types of DeviceNet cable. When combined with
the different connector types, the result is quite a
large range of cordsets. With connectors on both ends, the list of
possible part numbers is too long to list here. Instead, the part
number can be assembled using the matrix below. Standard lengths are
1M, 2M, 4M, 6M, 8M, 10M, 15M and in +5M increments for longer
lengths available to order.
For Stainless Steel Coupling Nuts change RSC to RSCV, WSC to
WSCV, RKC to RKCV, WKC to WKCV

Meaning of Type Codes

| To use the matrix, select the
connector on one end from the left columns. Select the connector on
the other end from the rows along the top. Where the row and column
intersect is the guide for the part number. All deviceNet cables
begin with 57, so replacing the x, complete this number with the
desired cable type. Replace the * with the length of cordset
required in metres.
For example if a 10 metre cordset using Cable Type 5724 is
required with an M12 Straight Male connector on one end and an M12
Female Right Angled connector on the other, the part number is RSC
WKC 5724-10M |

M12 - M8 Reducing
Cordsets for DeviceNet
These cordsets have M8 connector
(left hand column) on one end and an M12 connector (top rows) on the
other.
Note: When M8 connector is used only Pico Thin Type 5724 or
5715 cable can be used.
Also when Pico Thin cable is used, the overmoulding on the M12
connectors is smaller. See below for dimensions. The M12 connector
part numbers change from RSC, WSC, RKC, WKC to RST, WST, RKT, WKT.
For Stainless Steel Coupling Nuts change RSC to RSCV, WSC to
WSCV, RKC to RKCV, WKC to WKCV and change PSG 5M, PKG 5M to PSGV 5M,
PKGV 5M.
